Heaven Isn't Full of Good People

Heaven isn’t full of good people.
Heaven is full of forgiven people.
So what do we need forgiveness for?
For living self-centered, and I dare say narcissistic lives.
You could say SIN stands for:
Self-
Indulgent
Nonsense.
We were made by God and for God, but in our sin, we choose to live for ourselves — thinking, acting, and deciding based on what benefits us, often at the expense of others.
Sometimes sin shows up as outright rebellion.
Other times, it hides in our religious behavior.
But make no mistake — it’s still sin, and it separates us from God.
Today is Good Friday, the day we remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
There’s nothing “good” about the cross — except that Jesus died the death we deserved. Jesus didn’t just die for you — He died instead of you. Now that is good news!!
He took on the wrath and judgment of God so we could receive:
The mercy of God — not getting what we deserve; God’s wrath, judgment, and death
The grace of God — getting what we don’t deserve: His favor, love, and eternal life
This Friday, would you pause and reflect?
Ponder the cross. A sinless Savior who died for you.
And now, the invitation is open:
Receive this gift of salvation by faith.
Scripture says:
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
Will you confess your sin?
Heaven is full of forgiven sinners - like you and me!
I want to invite you to come celebrate the resurrection with us this Easter:
